報告內(nèi)容:Performance-based design (PBD) concept, originally developed for buildings in 1990s, has made it way into the design and assessment of bridges in recent years. The developments have promoted the advancement in the nonlinear analysis models and procedures accounting for soil-structure interaction, inelastic structural elements, and foundations etc and the probabilistic seismic demand assessment of bridges with considerations of uncertainties and variability in earthquake hazard characterization, analysis methods and damage prediction. Comparing to performance-based design for buildings, there are several major differences in implementing the PBD concept for bridges including intensity measures, analysis considerations, quantification of damage at component level and system failure probability etc. The fragility functions can be developed and utilized to provide vital information of bridges' system behavior and damage mechanisms. This presentation will summarize our recent research in these areas and provide a framework for implementing the performance-based assessment of bridges.
報告人簡介:張簡(Zhang, Jian),現(xiàn)美國加州大學(xué)洛杉磯分校(UCLA)副教授(終身職位)。2002年博士畢業(yè)于美國加州大學(xué)伯克利分校(2002年10月至2005年6月任美國伊利諾伊厄巴納-香檳分校 UIUC,助理教授);1994年碩士畢業(yè)于東南大學(xué)交通學(xué)院;1991年本科畢業(yè)于必贏3003no1線路檢測中心(前南京建筑工程學(xué)院)。主要研究領(lǐng)域:考慮液化和土—結(jié)構(gòu)相互作用等因素下的橋梁基于性能抗震設(shè)計、基于被動和主動保護裝置的結(jié)構(gòu)防災(zāi)減災(zāi)等。發(fā)表近100篇學(xué)術(shù)論文,其中30多篇期刊論文SCI被引520多次,參加近10個大會的主題邀請報告(ICCE 2012等)。主持美國自然科學(xué)基金、美國太平洋地震工程研究中心(PEER)科研項目和中國海外及港澳學(xué)者合作研究基金項目10余項。美國土木工程學(xué)會ASCE、美國地震工程研究中心EERI、美國高校地震工程研究聯(lián)盟CUREE等多個組織的會員;多個國際技術(shù)協(xié)會的主席。
